We hire coaches who hold the standard, not just the stopwatch. If you believe strength is built through discipline and community, there's a place for you at IRONFORGE.

We don't hire trainers. We forge coaches. Every member of the IRONFORGE crew — from the front desk to the head coach — is held to the same standard we hold our athletes: show up, do the work, own the result.

Why IRONFORGE

IRONFORGE is an elite fitness studio with three locations, twelve coaches, and zero compromises. We are deliberately small, deliberately demanding, and deliberately different:

  • Coaching-first culture — coaches design programs, not sales targets. We have no commission quotas
  • Real development — an annual education budget, in-house mentorship, and certification support for every coach
  • Fair pay — salaried coaching roles with transparent bands, not per-class piecework
  • The standard — small class caps mean you actually coach, correct, and connect with every athlete in the room

Open Positions

Strength & Conditioning Coach — Downtown

Full-time. You'll lead Iron Mass and Power Block cycles, run onboarding assessments, and own the progress of a roster of up to 40 athletes. Requires a recognised S&C certification and 3+ years of coaching experience in a group or semi-private setting.

MetCon Coach — Northside

Full-time or part-time. High-energy conditioning classes with a focus on safe scaling across mixed-ability groups. Requires a nationally recognised fitness certification and experience programming interval-based training.

Front Desk & Member Experience — All Locations

Part-time. First face our members see at 05:30 and the last at 22:00. You'll manage check-ins, tour prospective members, and keep the floor running. No fitness certification required — reliability and warmth are the job.

Hiring Process

Our process is fast and honest — four steps, typically completed within three weeks:

  • Application — send your CV and a short note on why you coach
  • Conversation — a 30-minute call with the head coach of your location
  • Floor session — coach a real class segment with our crew observing
  • Offer — terms in writing within one week of your floor session

No ghosting, guaranteed. Every applicant gets a response — including a straight answer if it's a no. That's the standard we'd want, so it's the standard we hold.
